I remember that while working at PRMC on medical surgical unit and Red was having surgery I snuck back to the recovery room to check on Red. I then returned to medical surgical floor and found some BLUE nail polish and proceeded to go back to the recovery room and painted his large toes BLUE. Red woke up and looked down at his toes and said he was cyanotic. Red later found out I had painted his nails blue and laughed about the incident. Red was a special person very kind and friendly every time we met. He constantly asked about my daughters and my spouse each time he seen me in the hospital setting. Durcilla Williams, MSN, RN
