Floyd LeMond, 94, of Andrews passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Andrews.

Floyd was born on October 4, 1923 in Tahoka, Texas to Alfred Grady LeMond and Mary Rebecca Garnett LeMond. He was raised and attended school in Draw, Texas. He married Evelyn Marie Nelson on February 21, 1942 in Tahoka. They moved all over the place while he worked in the seismograph industry as a doodlebugger and a shooter. They had lived in Lovington, New Mexico for about 10 years and moved to Andrews in 1971. He had worked as an equipment operator for the County of Andrews for 12 years. His love was calf and team roping, going to rodeos and horse sales, and he will be remembered as an excellent horse trainer. He was preceded in death by his wife on January 2, 2002, his parents, son, Richard LeMond, 2 sisters, Ruby and Otilla, and granddaughter, Bo DeShay.
Floyd is survived by his 3 sons, Ronnie and Brenda LeMond of Andrews, Jimmie LeMond of Andrews, Kenneth LeMond of Andrews, daughter, Brenda and Ikey Hooper of Andrews, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. And 9 great great grandchildren.
