Johnny Lee Lewis, 60, of Odessa passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Odessa.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Pastor Glenn Hammack of Andrews officiating. Cremation is under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Johnny was born on April 11, 1958 in Shreveport, Louisiana to George Wilkie Lewis and Clarice Marie Craig Lewis. He was raised and attended school in Andrews. He had worked for over 40 years in management in the food industry working for Pizza Hut in Andrews, Midland, Odessa, Hobbs, NM, and Carlsbad NM. He had also worked as a butcher and managed a travel center in Alanreed and managed a 7-Eleven store in Odessa. He loved concerts and loud rock n’ roll music, especially his favorite band, Heart, which was fronted by his one true love of his life, vocalist Ann Wilson. He was fun loving and always the life of the party and never took life to seriously. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Hugh Allen Lewis and brother in law, Donald Ray “Sunny” Blaylock.
Johnny is survived by his son, Jordy Chase Lewis and wife, Isabel Luna, of Andrews, granddaughter, Maggie Moon Lewis of Andrews, 2 brothers, Michael Ray Lewis and wife, Terri, of Hobbs, NM, David Lynn Lewis and wife, Nelda, of Midland, 3 sisters, Joye Dale Blaylock of Alanreed, Shirley Ann Driggs and husband, Donald, of San Angelo, Deanna Kaye Walls of Andrews, sister in law, Nancy Lewis of Andrews, and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
