Bernard Earl Kraft, Sr., 67 of Andrews, passed away early Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Home Hospice House in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2012 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.

Bernard was born June 19, 1944 to Ralph Eugene and Dorothy Louise (Meyer) Kraft in Norwalk, Ohio. He served in the Ohio National Guard and the Texas National Guard from 1961 to 1986. He married Mary Burley on July 10, 1965 in Milan, Ohio. He worked as a Supervisor at Kirby West for over 22 years until his retirement in November of 1999. Bernard was known to tinker and was a real good tool and die machinist. He did carpentry also. He loved to go camping, hunting and travel “sea to shining sea.” He enjoyed attending all his grandchildren’s sporting events. He worked with Operation Blessing, and was a member of American Legion. He loved his family and friends but most of all his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Kraft of Andrews, TX; sons, Bernard E. Kraft, Jr., of Midland, TX, Christopher Kraft, John P. Kraft, Stephen E. Kraft, all of Andrews, TX; one daughter, Rebecca A. Brown, of Martinez, GA; two sisters, Joan Leach, of Tirow, OH, Marie Meagrow, of Norwalk, OH; eight precious grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
