John Tausch, 75, of Andrews passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at his home in Andrews, Texas.
Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Andrews West Cemetery Under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Andrews. Pastor Guy Crawford will officiate.
John was born February 2, 1936 in New Braunfels, Texas. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 until 1958.
He married Patricia Robertson August 18, 1956 in New Braunfels. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1961 and earned his Master’s Degree from South West Texas State in 1966.
He and Pat moved to Andrews in 1961 where he taught school at Devonian Elementary School for 30 years.
John had a passion for teaching, woodworking and building. He had a gift for repairing anything and generously shared his talents. John enjoyed cars, music, sports, traveling and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Tausch of Andrews; daughter, Catherine Braasch and her husband, Tom of Austin; son, Paul Tausch and his wife, Kim of Simi Valley, California; grandchildren, Hunter Braasch and his wife, Kristen, Margaret Gant and her husband, Justin and Tristan Tausch; great grandchildren, Oliver Braasch and Johnny Gant.
