Travis Horton, 33, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Friday, October 6, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 201 NE 2nd Street, in Andrews with Pastor Brant O’Connor officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation is under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. Travis was born on November 26, 1983 in Andrews to Steven Bradfield Horton and Dawn Marie Woodall. Travis was raised in Andrews, where he grew up playing many sports. He graduated from Midland Christian High School in 2002, where he excelled in football and baseball with many awards. His football team won State his Senior year. He married Brianna Dori Wallach on August 16, 2008 in Andrews. He had worked as a contract pumper throughout the area. He was currently a production foreman for LINN Energy; working for them for 6 years. He loved the Florida Gators, Houston Astros, going hunting and fishing, and coaching his children in sports. He had a great memory and enjoyed random facts and Trivial Pursuit. He will be remembered for loving and encouraging his friends and family, and would give the shirt off his back for anyone. He was dedicated to his entire family and loved spending time with them. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rodger and Judy Woodall and his cousin, Carson Horton.
Travis is survived by his wife, Brianna Horton, of Andrews, 4 children, Lydia, Haylee, Travis Jr., and Dorian Horton, all of Andrews, father, Brad and Gina Horton of Andrews, mother, Dawn and Troy Smith of Andrews, brother, Rodger and Melanie Horton of Midland, grandparents, Claude and Betty Horton of Andrews, uncle and aunt, James and Heide Horton of Gardendale and their children, Meredith and Bridget, aunt and uncle, Lisa and Tracy Byrd of Canyon, and their children, Shaina Weisgerber and husband, Nick, and Staci Byrd, and father and mother in law, Richard and Barri Wallach of Taos, New Mexico.
